Smartphone manufacturer LG has been busy in the last few months either releasing new handsets or announcing them, and today we have news of a lower end handset the not too fancy LG LS730 aka Snapshot, and a photo of the device.
Sources of Brief Mobile have provided the website with some images of another LG smartphone heading over to the Now Network, and the LG LS730 otherwise known as the ‘Snapshot’ is believed to be available during the fourth quarter of 2012. The images show what appears to be a push home button on the device with a square body.
It also appears that the handset will have metal bands running along the edge of the device, and the specifications of the handset seemingly make the Snapshot a lower end smartphone. Inside the rear of the handset it is noticed that there is no 4G LTE or NFC connectivity, and even WiMax also looks to be on the missing list.
There is a five megapixel camera and a microSD card slot though and according to the source other specifications of the handset include only 768 MB of RAM, Qualcomm MSM8655 CPU, 4 GB of ROM, Adreno 205 GPU, VGA front-facing camera, 1,700 mAh removable battery, and a WVGA display.
The handset is a slim device measuring only 8.8mm but the single core S2 processor won’t get many smartphone fans too excited. While the handset won’t set the world on fire with those specs it is still another handset that could be arriving on Sprint shelves in the not too distant future, but there is also the chance it may be for Boost or Virgin Mobile even though the source was adamant that it was heading for Sprint.
For consumers looking for a more affordable new smartphone the LG Snapshot is yet another option available.
