Reeder 3.0 iOS update rewritten from ground up & out now

Reeder is probably the most highly-rated Google Reader client available and those who use it will be delighted to hear that the updated version 3.0 for iOS is now available. This is a significant update, 9 months in the making and rewritten from the ground up and we imagine plenty of people will be heading to the Apple App Store today, eager to download Reeder v 3.0.

Apart from a new-look UI there are a ton of new and improved features from developer Silvio Rizzi for the client for Google Reader, Fever and Readability. Reeder for iOS is available at iTunes here and is priced at $2.99. The updated Reeder is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad running iOS 5.1 or later.

News that the Reeder update had arrived was brought to us from iDownload Blog and just some of the changes include Fever syncing, improved Readability syncing, multi-account support for Google Reader and Fever, in-app settings, QUOTE.fm sharing, buffer sharing, new swiping gestures and much, much more. If you hit the App Store link you can see the full details of changes to Reeder with this 3.0 version.

MacStories has already come up with a massively comprehensive review of Reeder v 3.0 so check that out if you want to see more. The reviewer is suitably impressed noting that Reeder 3.0 is “now close to perfection” and describing it as “a fluid and more powerful experience.”

Are you a Reeder enthusiast eager to download this latest version? Maybe you’re new to Reeder but like what you see? Why not let us know what you think of the completely revamped Reeder by sending us your comments.

Reeder is one of those rare examples of taking something useful and intuitive and then rethinking it into an even more powerful app. It is in my top five really valued applications
