No doubt by now everyone knows that during the Windows Phone Summit at the Marriott Marquis in San Francisco, Microsoft introduced Windows Phone 8 along with details that existing Windows Phone users would not be getting Windows Phone 8 but rather Windows Phone 7.8.
But if you weren’t able to attend the Windows Phone Summit, and would like to know all that went on during the event, as long as you have a spare two-hours available you can now watch the Windows Phone Summit on video, which comes our way courtesy of the guys over at Pocket Now, and by way of WMExperts.
The footage kicks off with a little history of Windows and gets into the Summit at roughly the two-minute mark, and then Windows Phone corporate vice president Terry Myerson kicks things off with previewing ‘the next chapter in the Windows story…Windows Phone 8.’
However before getting into the nitty-gritty of Windows Phone 8, Myerson talks about how Microsoft got to where they are today, and then goes into the history of Windows Phone, and if you wish to skip right over that and get into the Windows Phone 8 stuff then start off at roughly the six-minute mark.
Anyway that’s enough from me, as I have no wish to spoil your viewing enjoyment of the Windows Phone Summit video, so all you need do now is set aside that 2-hours and mash that play button, and we’d love to hear from our readers as to what they thing of Windows Phone 8, do you think it can stand up to both iOS and Android?
