If you are the proud owner of the Nokia Lumia 800 or Nokia Lumia 710 who has been patiently awaiting the arrival of the promised Windows Phone Tango software update to hit your Lumia smartphone, you might like to know that the Windows Phone update is now rolling out to the aforementioned handsets.
According to the guys over at Slash Gear, the guys over at Nokia Conversations have delivered a few details on the features and changes that comes with the Windows Phone update for both the Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 710 such as WiFi tethering and flip-to-silence.
Obviously WiFi tethering as one would expect enables the user to share the smartphones internet connection with up to another five WiFi enabled devices, and basically turns the Nokia Lumia 710 and Lumia 800 into a mobile WiFi Hotspot, whilst the flip-to-silence feature mutes incoming calls and alerts when the handset is placed face down.
With the software update, Nokia Lumia 800 and Nokia Lumia 710 owners will be able to download new Nokia mobile apps, one of which is called Camera Extras, a video of which we have for your viewing consideration below, and features Smart Group Shot that snaps five shots, Action Shot that snaps a burst of shots so you can pick the best of them, Panorama for those landscape shots, and Self Timer, which is self explanatory.
The Windows Phone Tango update is rolling out to the Nokia Lumia 710 and 800 as of right now and will continue to the end of July, and once you have updated to Tango you’ll get access to the new application.
