Until we see the next version of Apple’s iPhone released to the public the hottest property right now in the smartphone market is the Samsung Galaxy S3, and Android fans around the world have been rushing to get their hands on the device. Today we now have news of the smartphones availability in AT&T stores.
The release of the Samsung Galaxy S3 has been met with delays in the US with demand outstripping supply in the country, and according to the Android Community it made a change to see the handset releasing around the same time on all carriers with the same design.
As we reported before all of the major carriers had to delay the launch of the handset, but now AT&T has confirmed when the Galaxy S3 will be hitting its stores for consumers to pick up. The carrier has already been sending out a limited number of units via its online sales and pre-orders, but from this Friday the 6th of July consumers will be able to stroll into any AT&T store and become the owner of the Samsung Galaxy S III.
The news was broken by the official blog of the carrier, and customers of AT&T will finally be able to become the proud owner of the Android smartphone sporting a 4.8-inch 720p HD touchscreen. You also get the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system running on the impressive dual core Qualcomm S4 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, and 2GB of RAM.
AT&T will sell you the 16GB version of the handset for $199.99 while the 32GB model will set you back $249.99, but as we have already reported the carrier will have an exclusive red version available later in the summer. Hopefully this will mean the availability of the Samsung Galaxy S3 will spread to all carriers in the coming days.
Will you be heading to an AT&T store to pick up the Samsung Galaxy S3?
