Obviously most will be aware that Apple managed to get sales of the Samsung galaxy nexus banned in the United States, and although Samsung requested a stay of the ban until trial, that request was turned down, and the the Galaxy Nexus was pulled from Google Play.
However, Google and Samsung have stated that they are working together to deliver a software update to the Galaxy Nexus in order to get round that ban, and said the update would be coming soon. Well according to the guys over at Slash Gear, the ban on the Galaxy Nexus will be lifted next week as the software update will deliver Android Jelly Bean to the device.
Apparently the Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will also include a software tweak that apparently resolves Apple’s claim that got the Galaxy nexus banned in the first place.
The news of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus resuming sales next week comes by way of an article over on ABC News that featured a statement, which confirmed that the Galaxy nexus had been pulled from Google Play, but would begin selling the smartphone against next week running the latest version of Android, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
Currently the Galaxy Nexus is still listed as ‘coming soon’ on Google Play, but if true, it would appear that sometime next week potential owners will be able to purchase the handset, something that no doubt will have Apple’s teeth grating.
