There’s good news today for many of our overseas readers as the Facebook App Center that has previously been available in the U.S. has now been released in India as well as Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa as well as the U.K.
The center for Facebook apps enables the user to download and use Facebook-based apps directly to their mobile devices. If you head to Facebook.com in your country you should now be able to spot the App Center bookmark on the left side of the home page as well as in the iPhone, iPad or Android Facebook apps.
If you’ve not yet heard of the Facebook App Center then in a nutshell it also features popular Android and iOS-based apps in one handy place. Users of the App Center can then easily check out out apps listing for ones they may enjoy, along with relevant information. If the user decides they want a particular app then they are instantly redirected to the App Store or Google Play to download and install the application.
Apps can also be viewed under categories such as music, games, entertainment, lifestyle, news and many more, including a Facebook section and there are also collections for Trending apps, Top Rated apps, Top Grossing apps as well as Suggested apps. As well as the methods above another way to access the App Center is to head to www.facebook.com/appcenter, as reported by themobileindian.com. With around 80% of active Facebook users residing outside North America then the App Center should be getting a lot of extra use.
We’d like to hear from readers who are in countries gaining access to the Facebook App Center for the first time. Are you impressed with what you see? Will you be using the App Center as a one-stop shop for your entire app needs? Why not send us your comments to let us know.
