New Pear gadget allows Bluetooth to speaker dock

Mobile technology has come a long way in the last few years and our devices now cover a whole range of uses that quite often include listening to our favourite music. Many of us will have some sort of docking station and today we have news of the new Pear gadget that allows Bluetooth connection to a speaker dock.

We get to see a number of great gadgets over at the Kickstarter project and the Pair product is another one. When you place your handset into a docking station to play music you are unable to talk, text, and email, but that is where Pear comes in as it replaces your handset on the dock, and allows you to control your music via your phone thanks to Bluetooth.

It is a standalone device that will connect an iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and Android device to a speaker docking station via Bluetooth. So users will be able to listen to their music while texting, surfing the web, and emailing as your phone will now be back where it belongs in your hand.

Pear will sync just like a hands free headset or any other Bluetooth device and then you can easily play your music. So far the team behind the clever idea have developed three working prototypes and a working business model. Already they have found a source for the manufacture of the product and have a website dedicated to the item and called it PairWithPear.com.

Some of the specifications of the Pear include a stainless steel sync/power button, only 1oz in weight, 30pin Apple style connector, 9 LEDs allowing proper Pear glow 1 power/sync button, FCC and CE compliant, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, and the pear measures 41 x 40 x 10mm.
