Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Unpacked Event August 30

This year has seen Samsung receive almost the same level of speculation and rumours leading up to the official announcement of its new smartphones to what Apple are used too. The Samsung Galaxy Note has been a strong performer for the company sales wise, and today we have news of a possible Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Unpacked event on August 30.

The guys over at GSM Arena are reporting that a Korean Digital Daily website is claiming that Samsung is going to hold an Unpacked event for the Galaxy Note 2 ahead of its release. It is being tipped to take place on August 30th, which is the day before the IFA expo begins in Berlin, Germany.

It is being suggested that the event will kick off at 19:00 CET time, and will focus on the Galaxy Note 2. So far the various rumours about the upcoming smartphone include the fact it will be powered by a quad core Exynos processor, and it will also feature a thirteen megapixel camera and the device will be narrower even though it has a larger 5.5-inch display, and of course it will come running the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

The original Galaxy Note made its official debut at last year’s IFA expo, which led many to believe the same would happen this year with the new model, but Samsung changed tact this year with the unveiling of the Galaxy S III and revealed the device at its own event instead of at the Mobile World Congress.

Last month we told you that the company had actually revealed the existence of the handset after a tweet appeared on the official Samsung site in Arabia, which was later deleted. There has also been talk that the device will come sooner than the original October release timeframe as the company wants the handset available before the iPhone 5.

Will you be considering the Samsung Galaxy Note 2?
