Acer Liquid Gallant Duo via Expansys no longer available
Well now if you are in the United Kingdom and in the market for a new ICS packing smartphone, there is a new Android ICS handset due from Acer and will become available as of the 8th of August, and is the Acer Liquid Gallant Duo smartphone, which was up for pre-order on Expansys.
According to the guys over at Modaco, the Acer Liquid Gallant Duo is up for pre-order at Expansys commanding a price tag of £148.99; however on checking it appears that the Android 4.0 handset is no longer available to pre-order from the retailer.
Spec wise the Acer Liquid Gallant Duo offers a 4.3-inch qHD touch screen along with a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, a 1GHz MTK 6575 processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, microSD expansion up to 32GB, Bluetooth 3.0 with EDR, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, GPS, HSPA/WCDMA 900/2100 MHz, quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz, standard microUSB and a 3.5mm jack, and runs the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
The Acer Liquid Gallant Duo measures 129 x 65.9 x 9.9mm with a weight of 145 grams with a 1500mAh battery and is also a low-end dual SIM handset.
As for that MTK 6575 CPU, apparently it is a dual core processor that has been shipping in numerous cheap Chinese devices.
Word is the Acer Liquid Gallant Duo will become available in both black and white models, but just when you will be able to again pre-order the handset from Expansys remains a mystery, as all they are saying is the device is no longer available in your region.
