For those over in the good old US of A with a preference for Verizon devices, you might like to hear that a Motorola device sporting the model number XT926 has now made its way to the Federal Communications Commission, and as you probably already know due to benchmarks and images hitting the net, the XT926 should be the upcoming Motorola Droid RAZR HD smartphone.
According to a report by Droid-life who snooped the FCC documents, it appears that the Motorola Droid RAZR HD has been tested on both the CDMA 800/1900 and LTE networks for the Big Red, along with sporting both WCDMA and GSM radios, which means there is a very good chance the Motorola Droid RAZR HD will be a global roaming device.
It also appears that the Droid RAZR HD handset will also come out packing a little NFC functionality, as you can see in the FCC image below.
As for specs on the Android handset, well if the device is similar to the Chinese Droid RAZR HD, the device should sport a 4.5-inch 720p HD touch screen along with a 13 megapixel camera with flash, and possibly a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 dual core processor, along with probably a 1300mAh battery, but obviously all that hasn’t been confirmed.
Obviously there is no hard and fast word on just when the Motorola Droid RAZR HD smartphone is likely to come out to play on Verizon, but as the handset is now with the FCC it is an indication that the Droid RAZR HD should be releasing soon.
Do any of our Android readers over in the US have their eye on the Motorola Droid RAZR HD?
