Samsung has been extremely busy in the last few months launching the Galaxy S3 around the world after some early delays, and now thoughts have been turning to more Galaxy products that are in the pipeline for release in the coming weeks. Meanwhile customers of T-Mobile in the US have been waiting for the availability of the original Galaxy Note, but the release seems to be getting ever closer.
There has been a lot of speculation recently that Samsung is about to release the Galaxy Note 2, which is believed to feature a larger 5.5-inch display that is powered by the same quad core processor that is found in the international version of the Galaxy S3, but clocked at 1.6GHz. While this speculation of a new Galaxy Note continues customers of T-Mobile USA look set to be able to get their hands on the original phablet anytime now.
The guys over at Phandroid are reporting that the official T-Mobile website now has the Samsung Galaxy Note listed as “Coming Soon”. This comes after last month some press images of the T-Mobile version of the Galaxy Note emerged, and then earlier this month some details of the device were revealed by the carrier itself.
Currently there is no actual date for the handset to arrive or any pricing for it, but the device will feature a 5.3-inch Super AMOLED HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 800. This is powered by a Snapdragon S3 dual core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, and camera wise the device features an eight megapixel rear shooter, with a two megapixel unit on the front.
T-Mobile’s version will also come rocking the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system with Samsung’s Premium Suite, and the T-Mobile 4G Pro App Pack. There has been suggestions that Samsung could be about to announce the Galaxy Note 2 at an event in August, so you wonder why T-Mobile customers would want to buy the old model with a new version being released.
Will you be getting the Galaxy Note on T-Mobile?
