iPhone 5 trend killed for Nexus 7 smartphone
For Apple iPhone users and those especially waiting for the iPhone 5 may think that the title above is a little harsh, but can you imagine if a new smartphone was to be released based on the Nexus 7. The future could bring us the Nexus 7 Smartphone, we already have the Nexus 7 tablet, and so it is only a matter of time until a superphone version is released to the public.
There is always going to be the case of Apple vs Android, and the iPhone is always being compared with all other handsets either on the market or phones that are coming soon. Yes we know that there is a new Apple smartphone coming this year aka the iPhone 5, but just think if a new superphone aka the Nexus 7 based smartphone should release. There are a few names in the mobile world that keeps everyone on the edge of their seat, and we know anything to do with a new iPhone or new upcoming Android phones causes a storm, and in many cases the arguments between iOS and Android users are just around the corner.
A Nexus 7-like smartphone, sounds good doesn’t it? This could be the phone of all phones that could go up against the iPhone 5 and kill its trend. We know that there are new Nexus smartphones coming soon, this new device will go on sale according to Pop Herald by the end of this year, it will have the latest Android operating system (No doubt Jelly Bean).
The Nexus 7 is a brilliant and yet still cheap Android tablet manufactured by Asus, it comes with all the Google goodness within and demand for this device is astonishing. If Nexus 7 tablet sales are successful then you can bet there will be a cheap Nexus phone that would sell well, especially if they come with bigger cameras, quad-core processors etc. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus now unlocked is around about $349, but this does not have a top-notch camera and the build is not what you call special. We say release a Nexus 7-like smartphone featuring say a good 8 to 10 megapixel camera, HD LCD display and some wacky name that is catchy, and you have a phone that could potentially start of the “iPhone 5 trend killed for Nexus 7 smartphone”.
Even better, a Nexus 7 based smartphone with the above features including a price tag around $200 to $300 and you have something well worth considering. Please do let us know what you think?

I want one now $250 – yes!!!!
warms my heart to see Apple get their ass handed to them
Or to dream of them getting their ass handed to them, that would be easier. Maybe we could create like a bizzarro world movie where Android products are easier to use, look better and Android lovers care about their own experience as opposed to feeling the need to talk about the competition.Â
Steven, you are such an iTool!!!
I’m there!!!! Bring it on. :-). I already have Samsung’s Galaxy Nexus & Asus Transformer Prime 201. I’m ready for the next…..Nexux7 phone. Looking forward to the next generation of the Nexus 7 Tablet with 2 cameras & some ports.
