If you are over in the good old US of A and one of the Android faithful that prefers Verizon Wireless as their carrier of choice, and you are in the market for a new Android 4.0 smartphone, you might like to know that the new Pantech Marauder smartphone is due release on the Big Red as of today the 2nd of August.
The Pantech Marauder is a 4G LTE smartphone exclusive to Verizon Wireless, and offers the customer a 3.8-inch WVGA touch screen along with a slide out physical QWERTY keyboard, a 5 megapixel rear facing auto-focus camera, 720p video, a VGA front facing camera, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal memory, a 1.2GHz dual core processor, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 4G LTE connectivity, microSD expansion up to 32GB, a 3.5mm jack and runs the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.
The Pantech Marauder also has Mobile Hotspot functionality for up to 10 devices on 4G and up to 5 devices on 3G, measures 5.07 x 2.57 x 0.46-inches and weighs in at 6.1 ounces with a 1680mAh battery that is said to offer up to 490 minutes talk time or up to 533-hours standby time.
The Verizon Pantech Marauder also offers the choice of Starter Mode or Standard Mode, with Starter Mode offering a simplified more intuitive experience, whilst Standard Mode offers the general smartphone settings for the more experienced Android user.
