Verizon HTC 5-inch mystery phone stroke tablet coming
Looks like HTC has taken a leaf out of old Samsung’s book and are working on a smartphone/tablet hybrid like the Samsung Galaxy Note, as word has it HTC is to launch a 5-inch Android phone/tablet with a resolution of 1794 x 1080 pixels, at some point in the not too distant future.
According to the guys over at Engadget, by way of DigiTimes, this mysterious HTC device popped up on GLBenchmark, and sources of the unnamed variety, claim that this new HTC 5-inch flagship level device is set to see release to the mobile space at some point between September and October.
Obviously the existence of a 5-inch device that is apparently destined to play nice on the Big Red network is simply rumour for now, however an entry for the HTC 6435LVW that has shown up on GLBenchmark looks to fit the bill (image below).
The HTC 6453LVW sports the same resolution, which the guys presume is actually a 1920 x 1080 panel with room for Android keys, and the device will run Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, and sports a Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz processor.
The listing also makes mention of Verizon, and thus the assumption that this device is destined for the Big Red, and as such should also support LTE functionality, but no word on whether this HTC device will sport a stylus like the Samsung Galaxy Note.
Of course nothing is set in concrete with this HTC 5-inch device, but we will naturally pass any other information along to our readers as and when it becomes available.
