If you happen to be one of the Android faithful over in Europe and own the Motorola RAZR XT910 smartphone, you have been waiting patently for some time to see the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update begin hitting your particular device, but as of a couple of days ago the Android 4.0 update started rolling out to the RAZR XT910.
The reason for the delay in the Motorola RAZR XT910 gaining Android Ice Cream Sandwich was due to T-Mobile refusing to sign off on the ICS update, due to the carrier wishing to customise the ROM to their liking before rolling it out to customers, which as Motorola is now owned by Google, Google didn’t want.
However, according to the guys over at GSM Arena in the end, T-Mobile relented and signed off on the update, and as such the Android Ice Cream Sandwich update has finally started to roll out over the air to the Motorola RAZR XT910 handset, although of course the roll out could take several days to hit every customer’s smartphone.
The ICS update for the Motorola RAZR XT910 delivers visual changes along with a new launcher and revamped lock screen, and weighs in at 153.3MB with a recommendation to download the update over 3G or WiFi.
So there you have it, if you happen to own the Motorola RAZR XT910 and have already received the update, we’d love to hear your views on Android ICS 4.0 on the RAZR XT910, whether everything went smoothly or if you experienced any problems with the update, so feel free to let us know your views by dropping us a line to our comments area below.
