Samsung Windows Phone 8 Odyssey & Macro specs & price difference
A while back we posted what info we knew on the upcoming Windows Phone 8 devices from the Samsung camp called the Samsung Odyssey and Samsung Marco, after which we also reported on what other specs came to light on the Samsung Odyssey including that the smartphone would be an LTE device and T-Mobile’s first Windows Phone 8 handset. Now we have more on those specs along with price differentiation for your consideration.
An article over on International Business Times, by way of Samsung Mobile, the two Windows Phone 8 handset model numbers have now been revealed with the Samsung Odyssey being the GT-i8750, and the Samsung Marco being the GT-i370, of which the Samsung Odyssey is the more expensive of the two.
Word has it that the Samsung Odyssey will come sporting a 4-8inch Super AMOLED HD touch screen along with a 8 megapixel rear facing camera, a 1.9 megapixel front facing camera, 16GB or 32GB internal storage along with microSD expansion up to 32GB and with a 1.5GHz dual core Krait processor, and commands a price tag of between €500 and €600, which is roughly $615 to $738.
The Samsung Marco is said to sport a 4-inch Super AMOLED WVGA touch screen along with a 5 megapixel rear facing snapper and a 1.9 megapixel front facing camera, 8GB internal storage with microSD expansion, and again that 1.5GHz dual core Krait processor, and will command a price tag of somewhere between €350 and €450, which is about $431 to $554.
The Marco is a mid-range Windows Phone 8 handset whilst the Odyssey is a high-end WP8 smartphone, with both handsets expected to release to the mobile space at some point in Q4, and two new Windows Phone handsets that could possibly give Nokia Lumia devices some competition.
