AT&T bound Pantech Magnus image reveal
At the moment there are so many great smartphones either just released or about to be launched and of course it’s inevitable that some are big names while others can sometimes pass us by. That is exactly what has happened with us and a phone called the Pantech Magnus, which is AT&T-bound and has escaped our attention until now. However an image has now come to light to give us all an idea of what to expect.
Although we cannot tell too much from the image it is possible to see that the Pantech Magnus, aka P9090, has AT&T branding and also reveals that it has an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a front-facing shooter. The image shows a pretty nice looking device with a distinctive ridge along the bottom edge and a bumpy rear, which may or may not be to your taste and we’d expect this to be a high-end offering from Pantech.
Details of the Pantech Magnus come to us from Engadget who also report the likelihood of it being powered by a Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon S4 processor, a 720p display and of course that LTE connectivity which is growing increasingly important, although none of this is confirmed. We would also expect that it will launch running either Android 4.0 ICS or the latest 4.1 Jelly Bean and of course if released with the latter it should see even higher sales.
There’s no firm news yet on pricing or when it will be released but the Pantech Magnus will have stiff competition from the just-announced Samsung Galaxy Note 2 running Android Jelly Bean and of course the Apple iPhone 5 for those who are open to an operating system other than Android. When we hear more about the Pantech Magnus we shall of course let you know.
While we wait we’d be interested in your comments on the Pantech Magnus. Do you like the look of what you see? Do you think it stands a fair chance against the big players from Samsung, Apple and Sony?
