If you were a fan of the ZTE Grand X then you might well be interested in the new flagship smartphone, the ZTE Grand X IN, featuring an Intel Atom processor. A release is coming in Europe very shortly and we have details including specs, features and more. However if you were hoping for it to be running on the very latest Android operating system, 4.1 Jelly Bean, then you may be disappointed as the Grand X IN will launch running 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
There’s no suggestion that the ZTE Grand X IN will receive an update to Jelly Bean either but if that doesn’t concern you too much we have plenty of information for you on this upcoming handset. An Intel Atom Z2460 processor including Intel Hyper-Threading, which is aimed at making the phone more energy efficient while delivering speed, powers the ZTE Grand X IN. There’s also a 4.3-inch qHD capacitive display with resolution of 960 x 540, HSPA+ 21Mbps, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera with auto focus and flash as well as a 0.3-megapixel front-facing shooter.
Connectivity-wise you’re looking at GPS, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi Direct and Bluetooth 2.1 and there’s also a 1650mAh battery. Audio-visual features include Dolby Sound, HD video capture and HD Voice. Dimensions of the Grand X IN are 127mm x 65mm x 9.9mm and it weighs 140.8g with battery. It will launch in Europe in September and although no price has been announced yet, Android Central expects a competitive price, so for PAYG (pay as you go) it may be around £200.
We’d like to hear your thoughts on the ZTE Grand X IN. Is this a smartphone that could tempt you or would you rather purchase a new phone already running 4.1 Jelly Bean? Let us know by sending your comments to us.
