The smartphone market is forever evolving with manufacturers constantly announcing and bringing out new hardware for consumers to own, which can sometimes prove difficult when it comes to choosing between the various handsets available. Now we have news of an HTC press event for September 19th, which is thought to be for Windows Phone 8 devices.
September is turning out to be a busy month as later today we have the joint Microsoft and Nokia event, and Apple have also confirmed a date to reveal the iPhone 5. As the Android Community are reporting HTC has announced their own event by sending out invites suggesting that we all enjoy “what’s next”.
Trouble is the company didn’t reveal much else about what is in store and the popular thought is the company is going to reveal some Windows Phone 8 hardware. The only hint is the “Join HTC to see what’s next” statement, but there is a weird blue symbol on the bottom of the invite, which could resemble the Google Now voice search feature of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The company has been a little quite recently and we could get to see the already announced Desire X, but HTC’s answer to the popular Samsung Galaxy Note has recently broken cover and could be unveiled officially. There have been reports of the HTC One X+ for T-Mobile recently so this is another handset that may be making an appearance.
As always you can rely on the team at Phones Review to keep you up to date as the news from the event comes out, but HTC has a big fight on its hands now to keep up with Samsung and Apple. Some consumers are unhappy with the way HTC are updating Android hardware to the latest version of the operating system, and in some cases ignoring certain devices altogether.
