For those Android faithful that love Samsung smartphones, there is a new ICS packing handset coming from the Samsung camp for the music lover, as old Sammy has now unveiled the Samsung Galaxy Music handset, which is said to offer superb music play features and sound quality.
According to a report by Slash Gear, the new Samsung Galaxy Music operates on HSDPA, HSUPA 900/2100MHz, along with EDGE/GPRS 850/900/1800/1900Mhz networks and features a dedicated music button for gaining rapid access to the handset’s music player, and features Samsung Hub, Music Hub, Game Hub Lite, along with the usual Google services, and Samsung ChatON.
The Samsung Galaxy Music specifications include a rather small 3-inch QVGA 240 x 320 TFT touch screen along with 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage, a 3 megapixel fixed focus rear facing camera without flash, Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi, WiFi Direct support, GPS, FM tuner with RDS, a 3.5m jack, Samsung TouchWiz UI, but does run Android Ice Cream Sandwich.
Considering the low specs of the handset one can presume the Galaxy Music will probably be a low priced entry level smartphone, but at least it does come with the ability to expand on that storage via microSD card up to 32GB, and there will be a dual SIM version of the handset called the Samsung Galaxy Music Duos.
Size wise the Galaxy Music measures 110.1 x 59.0 x 12.25mm with a weight of 106.9 grams and has a 1300mAh battery, but no word on when the Galaxy Music will be available to purchase, how much it will cost and which carriers will offer the smartphone.
