Barnes and Noble Nook HD Slate, Snow & Smoke Pre-order

If you are over in the good old US of A and prefer your 7-inch or 9-inch tablet to be a Nook, you might like to know that there are two new Nook slates available to pre-order from Barnes & Noble in the form of the Barnes & Noble Nook HD and the Nook HD+, with the Nook HD becoming available in two colour options, Snow and Smoke, whilst the Nook HD+ will be available in Slate.

According to an article over on Liliputing, the Barnes & Noble Nook HD recently paid a visit to the Federal Communications Commission that offers a little insight into what the Nook HD packs along with a couple of images, and letting us know that the tablet runs a customised version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

So let’s see what the B&N Nook HD has to offer, the devices is a 7-inch slate with 1440 x 900 pixel resolution, 243PPI, supports 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 1GB of RAM, comes in 8GB and 16GB internal storage variants, Bluetooth 2.1, microSD expansion, 3.5mm jack, and a 1.3GHz TI OMAP 4470 processor.

The Barnes & Noble Nook HD measures 194.4 x 127.1 x 11mm with a weight of 315 grams, and can be pre-ordered by hitting up the B&N website, where the slate commands a price tag of $199 for the 8GB model in either Smoke or Snow, and the 16GB version commands a price tag of 229-bucks, and becomes available as of the 8th of November.

Moving on to the Barnes & Noble Nook HD+, a 9-inch tablet that offers a full 1080p HD display, everything the Nook HD has to offer, but with a faster processor, a 1.5GHz TI OMAP 4470 dual core processor.

The Barnes & Noble Nook HD+ measures 240.3 x 162.8 x 11.4mm with a weight of 515 grams, and can be pre-ordered from the B&N website, commanding a price tag of 269-bucks for the 16GB model, and 299-bucks for the 32GB version, and again available as of the 8th of next month.
