If you are a fan of mobile tech and looking to pick up some new hardware in the coming weeks in the run up to Christmas, there are certainly a lot of new products to choose from. Whether it’s a nice new smartphone or a tablet PC there is arguably something for all budgets and needs, and now the Samsung Nexus 10 pricing and release have been unveiled, with the iPad in its sights.
Despite cancelling their event in New York Google has still been busy revealing the likes of the new range of Nexus 7 tablets, Android 4.2, and the LG Nexus 4 smartphone. As the Android Authority is reporting the company has also revealed the Samsung made Nexus 10 tablet PC, which will come running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean from launch.
The device will feature the 10inch WQXGA display with the iPad beating 2560 x 1600 resolution, which is powered by the dual core A15 processor that is cloaked at 1.7GHz and coupled with 2GB of RAM. The tablet has a more than capable battery that is claimed to provide nine hours of video playback, and 500 hours of standby from the 9,000 mAh lithium-ion unit.
Google will offer the Nexus 10 in a couple of options that include either 16GB or 32GB of on board storage, with both being Wi-Fi only. The device features a five megapixel rear facing camera that is capable of 1080p video capture at 30fps.
There is also a 1.9 megapixel front facing shooter for video calls, and all of these specs are packed into unit that is only 8.9mm thick weighing only 603 grams. Pricing starts at £319/$399 for the 16GB model, and the 32GB version is priced at £389/$499.
The Nexus 10 will become available on the Google Play Store from November 13th in the UK, US, France, Germany, Canada, Australia, Japan, and Spain that is just over a fortnight from now.
