The good official news is in and this is exciting, even though Google cancelled its big Playground event today due to Hurricane Sandy. They have just announced 2 new phones and one tablet, but for now let’s talk about the Google LG Nexus 4 specs and price and of course where to buy.
The Google Nexus 4 by LG comes with Photo Sphere and Google Now, this little beauty comes with a quad-core processor, 4.7-inch 320 ppi (1280 x 768 pixel resolution) display, Android Jelly Bean 4.2, 8 MP camera, we love the fact that this smartphone comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
Main Specs Include: WXGA IPS, Qualcomm Snapdragon(TM) S4 Pro CPU, 133.9 x 68.7 x 9.1 mm and weighs 139 grams, it also has a 3MP front-facing camera for those video chats, Unlocked GSM/UMTS/HSPA+, GSM/EDGE/GPRS (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz), 3G (850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz) and HSPA+ 21. The Nexus 4 has 16GB internal storage but the actual formatted capacity will be less, other features include 2 GB RAM, Micro USB, 3.5mm headphone jack, SlimPort HDMI and Wireless charging.
The LG Nexus 4 also has WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, NFC Android Beam, Bluetooth, 2100 mAh Lithium polymer battery, Microphone, Accelerometer, Ambient light, Compass, Gyroscope, Barometer and GPS.
We love the fact that you can just set this handset down and charging will commence thanks to wireless charging, goodbye wires. This is a very powerful handset but has been made with simplicity in mind but with a great design to tow, we mentioned that it comes with Photo Sphere and this allows the user to capture photos that are as Google Says “Larger than Life”, this means in a nutshell that you can create 360-degree immersive experiences and then share on Google+
Where to Buy and Price
The Nexus 4 will come in 8GB and 16GB version for $299 (£239) and $349 (£279) respective; they will be available in contract or unlocked versions as well. You can buy the LG Nexus 4 smartphone via Google Play (Click for 8GB or 16GB), you can also head on over to T-Mobile where they will be selling the 16GB version for $199 with a 2-year contract. If you purchase via Google Play you will see them on sale via U.S., U.K., Australia, France, Germany, Spain and Canada. Release date starts November 13, via the above. If you prefer to go into a store in Europe, Central/South Americas, Asia, CIS and the Middle East, then you will have to wait until the end of November.
