Once you get your hands on the LG Nexus 4 smartphone, you will naturally be on the lookout for accessories for your latest Android handset, so you might like to know that Analogix has released SlimPort accessories for the Nexus 4 that will seamlessly connect the smartphone to any display such as any monitor, projector or any HDTV along with delivering simultaneous connectivity to the handsets power source.
SlimPort accessories maximise the battery life of a device along with delivering the option to charge a mobile device when it is using an auxiliary display so that the LG Nexus 4 can experience full HD and 3D media sharing without interruption to a bigger display with up to eight channels of audio.
Analogix Semiconductor will release four SlimPort cables and adapters that offer connectivity through all display standards, HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort and VGA, with the first series, model SP1002 available immediately in Europe and the United States at a cost of $29.99 that can be purchased from Amazon, and will then be rolled out to other global markets.
The SlimPort SP1002 is a high speed micro USB (male) to HDMI (female) connector cable measuring 4.26 x 2.21 x 0.99cms, and supports full HD and 3D at 1080p @60Hz 24bpp.
The vice president of marketing for Analogix Semiconductor, Andre Bouwer has said that with innovative apps such as Google Now and Google Play running Android Jelly Bean 4.2 and a robust camera tech, the Google Nexus 4 has it all and when combined with SlimPort accessories the user can use it all on any screen, wherever they go and without draining the battery.
You can take a peek at the SlimPort product by hitting up Amazon, where the accessory is currently out of stock, but at least we now know it exists.
