Samsung has been on a bit of roll recently with its flagship smartphones selling millions of units around the world, but the company does have some more affordable handsets available to consumers that still offer some worthy specifications and features. We now have some news on the Samsung Galaxy Grand DUOS aka GT-I9082 LCD that should be released for 2013.
According to a report over on SamMobile the company could be about to announce a new Galaxy smartphone sometime next month, and it seems the device will be a supersized version of the already available Samsung Galaxy S Duos.
The Samsung Galaxy Grand DUOS is being tipped to become available next month and is thought to feature a 5-inch LCD display, but the device won’t be another high end handset from the company as the display resolution is thought to only be 480 x 800.
There will be some kind of quad core processor though under the hood with other features including NFC connectivity and a 2,100 mAh battery unit, and the handset is tipped to come in either Elegant White or Metallic Blue colour options. The handset has the code name of GT-I9082 and seemingly will continue Samsungs recent push with dual SIM smartphones.
Such devices have always been popular in emerging Asian markets with devices from the likes of Nokia at one time cornering the market, but more recently the likes of Samsung and HTC have begun offering consumers dual SIM solutions with more worthy smartphones.
Samsung has already given the world the Galaxy S Duos but more recently added dual SIM capabilities to its flagship handsets with the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 joining the dual SIM party. There is a good chance we will get to hear more about the Samsung Galaxy Grand DUOS at the CES event in Las Vegas next month.
