Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G on MetroPCS only for some

Not everyone prefers or can afford a high end smartphone such as the Samsung Galaxy S3 or the Galaxy S Note 2, and opt for handsets with lesser specifications and features. So if you are over in the USA, your preferred carrier is MetroPCS, and you are on the lookout for a Galaxy smartphone, you might like to know that MetroPCS is now offering the Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G.

Although the Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G is the newest Android handset from the Korean manufacturer, according to MetroPCS it is an advanced version that offers a faster processor, a larger display, 4G LTE connectivity, and the addition of a front facing camera.

The specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G include a 3.65-inch HVGA touch screen with Gorilla Glass, along with a 1GHz single core processor, a 3 megapixel rear facing camera with flash, a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, 1.38GB internal memory, microSD expansion up to 32GB, 4G LTE, and runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

The smartphone measures 4.52 x 2.46 x 0.47-inches with a weight of 4.34 ounces, whilst packing a 1600mAh battery said to deliver up to 3-hours of talk time and up to 200-hours standby time, and comes with support for MetroPCS 4GLTE Mobile Hotspot service at an additional charge.

For those that are interested in picking up the Samsung Galaxy Admire 4G, the smartphone is available from the MetroPCS website and commands a price tag of $169 plus tax.

With tax and regulatory all-inclusive 4G LTE service plans staring at $30 a month for a limited period of time, MetroPCS is offering good value with having to be tied to a long term contract, and for those customers that want unlimited text, talk and 4G data, the carrier has a $55 a month promo plan.

This phone has not got the best specs in the world ,but surely there are millions that wants simplicity and this is why I said it is only for some. So will any of our US readers be grabbing the Galaxy Admire 4G from MetroPCS?

The only thing worse than the call quality is Metro PCS’s “customer service.” I tried to use this phone to start a contract with Metro but after many attempts trying to call them (while in the middle of a city that is supposed to have excellent coverage) I could not activate the phone. The calls were either to broken up to hear the person or the volume (even turned all the way up) was to low for me to hear the other person and they could barely hear me. To make matters worse Metro has no exchange policy. I discovered this after being sent to their corporate store to be talked down to by the manager where they sent me to the web address that was on the receipt of my online order. That website did not exist either. I finally I was allowed to talk to their internet department who told me there was no exchange policy but they would have a customer service agent call me back. After 3 days they have not even done this. In summary stay away from Metro but more importantly don’t waste your money on this phone! Samsung should be ashamed they normally put out quality products.
