If you are one of the Android faithful that has a penchant for launcher apps, you might like to know that the GO Dev Team have now released a new launcher app for Android called Next Launcher, which is compatible with devices running Android 2.3.3 and above, although it is suggested that the application will work better on dual core handsets.
The Next Launcher app for Android offers the user such things as unlimited screen layouts, stereoscopic screen preview allowing for lots of screen display effects and various operations for icons such as select, reset, align and more.
The application also features a powerful apps drawer so the user can create folders by overlaying icons, arrange icons by time or name, and there is also a Batch mode available for adding icons to the screen.
With the Next Launcher app the user also gets a rotatable dock enabling the dock to rapidly switch between home screen, screen edit, and screen preview by inverting upwards and downwards. There is also numerous app drawer scrolling effects, quick screen management whereby the user can add differing kinds of elements in screen editing, there is also fancy 3D widgets, and apparently changing wallpapers and themes support will be added soon.
We have embedded a promo video of the Next Launcher app in action for your viewing consideration below and if you wish to purchase the application, you can do so by visiting Google Play where the app commands a price tag of £9.96.
One does have to say that £9.96 price tag does seem to be somewhat steep for a launcher application, for a bit of eye candy and the ability to move icons about and create folders and the like, especially when there are other launcher apps available that don’t cost the earth.
So we’d like to hear our readers opinions on this Next Launcher app for Android, do you consider almost £10 a reasonable price for this app, or do you feel it is way over the top in price? Feel free to let us know by dropping us a line to our comments area below.
