The Nexus 4 as we all know is out of stock again and everyone has to sit back and wait patiently for more to arrive, but one question that sticks out in our minds is “Are consumers get impatient waiting for the Nexus 4?” There is a new kid on the block and we here at Phones Review have been asked a few questions relating to the new HTC One SV, basically asking us if this HTC handset is a good replacement to the Nexus 4.
We will get this straight out of the way now and answer the above for you, the new HTC One SV will be available via EE because the phone will support LTE 4G in the UK and the only network carrier in the United Kingdom that offers this is none other than EE. There are a few things specs wise that does not stand up to the Nexus 4, the One SV has a 4.3-inch super LCD-2 touch screen with Gorilla Glass 2 with only 480 x 800 resolution and the Nexus 4 has a 4.7-inch WXGA IPS Corning Gorilla Glass 2 display with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution, we know the one we would choose.
The HTC One SV only comes with a downright cheeky Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense 4 and the Nexus 4 comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, so far it is not looking good for the HTC One SV.
Then we get to the bit where the HTC One SV has LTE 4G and it being sold via EE, we all know that the prices via EE are not what you call cheap. We would without a doubt choose the Nexus 4 over the HTC One SV, but then the SV is not what you call a bad smartphone, and if the SV had a very low price then it would be this that would threaten the Nexus 4. It would actually be a nice mobile phone if was going to be made available on other networks rather than just on EE, but we know it will not because EE are the only ones capable of supplying LTE 4G speeds here in the UK.
Please let us know what smartphone you will choose, will it be the HTC One SV or the Nexus 4? Personally we say that the HTC One SV is not a Nexus 4 threat.
