Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE Jelly Bean update scheduled today
There are numerous Android smartphones that still haven’t been updated to Android Jelly Bean, leaving those devices to play along with Android ICS or even lower. HTC have kind of dragged their heels somewhat in delivering Jelly Bean to previously released smartphones when you consider the like of rival Samsung that seems to be getting their Jelly Bean updates out rather rapidly. However the word is the Android Jelly Bean update could be on its way the the HTC EVO 4G LTE on Sprint.
According to an article over on Android Headlines, a leaked doc apparently suggests that the Android Jelly Bean update should be now hitting the Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE smartphone as of today, whilst the word is a network wide roll out will happen in the week starting the 3rd of January 2013.
Apparently the leaked doc came to light through Spint’s own internal network, and as of now the HTC EVO 4G LTE is listed on the Sprint website as coming with Jelly Bean 4.1 out of the box, and further states that the update is starting to be delivered to the device as of yesterday, and will also be automatically pushed to owners starting next year.
For those owners of the Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE that would like to snag the Android Jelly Bean update today, as long as you are running a stock ROM you can hit up settings on your handset then head to system updates, hit HTC software update and then select check now, and then look for build number 3.15.651.16.
That build 3.15.651.16 is of course Android Jelly Bean 4.1, and the update to your device should bring several improvements due to Project Butter, along with the new HTC Sense+ user interface, which delivers such things as extra capabilities for the camera app, improved gallery app. Furthermore the Android Jelly Bean update to the HTC EVO 4G LTE will also deliver improved responsiveness and improved speed and of course Google Now, personalised ringtones, WiFi authentication, expandable notifications and bug fixes.
Thus it would appear that Sprint and HTC have finally got their act together and those Android faithful over in the States who happen to own the Sprint EVO 4G LTE should now be able to grab the Jelly Bean update. And let’s be honest its better late than never like some Android smartphone that will never see Jelly Bean.
Feel free to let us know if your Sprint HTC EVO 4G LTE handset is now playing nice with Jelly Bean and if you have any problems with the update.

The only issue I have with my HTC EVO 4g LTE is that it does random reboots everyday.
yea my wifi got jacked, it shows connected but doesn’t get an ip address
These jokers who put together the latest Jelly Bean update must have been hired from Microsoft. But I have to say that instead of the blue wall of death, everything just either gets locked up, dropped, disconnected, or just plain disappears. That Samsung Galaxy is starting to make me look back at it.
My network or WiFi don’t work wise thks a lot jelly bean
