Not too long ago Sony unveiled their latest additions to their popular Xperia line of devices in the form of the Sony Xperia E and the Sony Xperia E Dual handsets. Now if you happen to be a fan of Xperia handsets over here in the United Kingdom, and have had your eyes on the Sony Xperia E wondering when you might be able to pick up the Android smartphone, well we have a little bit of info on that UK release for you.

According to a report over on The Inquirer, the Sony Xperia E will be making its UK debut with Carphone Warehouse sometime in February 2013, and this is when Carphone Warehouse expect stock of the Xepria E to arrive.

Unfortunately though Carphone Warehouse hasn’t let on just how much the Sony Xperia E will cost potential customers. However, we previously reported that it is expected the Xperia E will command a price tag of 169 Euros when the smartphone releases in Europe, which is roughly £136 for an unlocked handset, so one could assume the device will be somewhat cheaper than that when signing up for the usual carrier contract.

As for what you can expect with the Sony Xperia E, the handset is an Android Jelly Bean device sporting 3.5-inch HVGA touch screen along with a 1GHz Snapdragon MSM7227A processor, a 3.2 megapixel auto focus camera, VGA video recording, 512MB RAM, A-GPS, Bluetooth, DLNA, WiFi, WiFi hotspot functionality, built-in WALKMAN app including xLOUD tech, 3D surround sound, and a manual equaliser, 4GB internal memory, microSD expansion up to 32GB.

The Xperia E measures 113.5 x 61.8 x 11mm and weighs in at 115.7 grams with a 1530mAh battery that is said to be good for up to 6-hours of talk time and up to 530-hours of standby time.

As for the Sony Xperia E Dual, which is the dual SIM version of the smartphone, well there is currently no word on whether the Xperia E Dual will come out to play in the United Kingdom.
