Samsung Galaxy Y XXLK3 2.3.6 Gingerbread replaces custom with stock
If you have the Samsung Galaxy Y S5360 and would love to have Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread instead of the out-of-the-box Android 2.3.5, then we think this new firmware update might be just for you. This is the XXLK3 official firmware update that can be installed via OTA or by using the official Samsung KIES utility.
There are many of you already running the latest Gingerbread update but if you are one of the select few that could not install the official operating system this is where XXLK3 can help you. The full name of this new firmware is called S5360XXLK3 and is only available for the Galaxy Y with the model number S5360, please make sure this is your model before moving forward.
This firmware will use the ODIN and will flash the stock 2.3.6 GB firmware, another words it will erase all custom ROMS for the official stock. We do have to warn you that if you go ahead you will also lose customs ROMS such as Paranoid Android, AOKP and CM10 after flashing official firmware.
If you have things such as TWRP Recovery or ClockworkMod Recovery these will be removed as well, in a nutshell your Samsung device will no longer be a rooted one after installing this firmware update. This should work in a number of regions including Belgium, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Austria, Spain, Italy and Hungary.
