The latest and most powerful smartphones are all well and good, but these devices can be rather fragile and not of any use to some people that may need something a little stronger, whether this is down to their job or lifestyle. We first heard about the handset back in February when the device was announced at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Now the Cat B15 has become available in the UK with an unlocked price of £299.98 with free next day delivery courtesy of Unlocked Mobiles.

For your money you get a handset that can survive a 1.8 metre drop onto concrete as well as withstand dust and water submersion for 30 minutes in a depth of up to 1 meter. The actual specifications for the handset include a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen display with a resolution of 480 x 800.

This is powered by a dual core MediaTek MT6577 processor running at 1GHz with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of expandable storage, 5-megapixel rear facing camera, VGA front facer, and the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system.

While not being the most feature laden smartphone it still has a lot to offer for the asking price, and the fact it is stronger than your average handset will appeal to many that need a device that is better equipped for what life can throw at it.
