Samsung looking at various designs for Galaxy Note 3

There is a growing pull towards the phablet device recently that in many people’s eyes is the perfect trade off for those that can’t afford or don’t want to carry around a smartphone and a tablet PC all the time. This begun with the launch of the original Note handset from Samsung and as more companies also offer similar devices it is being suggested that the company is looking at various designs for the Galaxy Note 3 release.

The rumour mill has cranked up recently regarding the Galaxy Note 3 with images and speculation about the display specifications, and now sources are claiming that Samsung is looking at three different designs for the upcoming handset.

These include one that is similar to that of the just released Galaxy S4, one that has a completely different design, and even one that comes with a flexible display. There has been talk in the past that Samsung was looking to offer an aluminium form factor with its next Note release, which was later put down to some clever HTC marketing.

We have also heard previously that flexible displays from the company have been delayed due to problems with the manufacturing process to create them, and that they may not be seen until next year. The same report goes on to again dispute the accuracy of the alleged images of the Galaxy Note 3 and claims it was actually a ZOPO ZP950, so not even a Samsung smartphone.

No new images or specifications have been given for these prototypes being worked on, but Samsung must be getting closer to a final decision as the device is expected to be unveiled in September at the IFA event in Berlin.
