We all love a new product on the market that fits in with exercising, fitness etc, and a new gadget called the Fitbit Flex fitness wristband is what we call the Nike & Jawbone alternative.
We already know a few things about the Nike FuelBand and the Jawbone Up wristbands, and now it is the turn of the Fitbit Flex wristband to shine.
It seems that many fitness enthusiasts like wearing products that can help tell them what they are doing when exercising, and the Flex gadget can do just that.
The new wristband tells the user how many steps they have taken, distance travelled, active minutes, calories burned, it also tells the user how many hours they have slept, the quality of sleep, as well as features including a silent wake alarm and being water-resistant.
The Fitbit Flex is very much like the Nike FuelBand and the Jawbone Up but with one major difference, and this is the price. The up is around $130, the FuelBand at around $150, the Flex is only a mere £79.99 so around $100.
This is a lovely piece of kit and Phones Review will be asking for one for review in time, the Fitbit Flex fitness wristband can connect to you computer or smartphone using Bluetooth 4.0, and this allows the user to check activity data, such as calories, sleep patterns and how many steps taken etc.
The Flex cannot determine if you are walking up a hill / incline etc, so this will not be accurate in calorie burning. However, we love it because it looks cool and can be worn day and night.
You can pre-order right now for £79.99, the only ones available at the moment are the black or slate colour versions.
Please let us know what you think of the Fitbit Flex fitness wristband? Which is the cheaper Nike & Jawbone alternative!
