Since the launch party for the Samsung Galaxy S4 had all finished with the dust beginning to settle the rumour mill for the next high end phablet device from the company kicked into top gear with a whole host of different claims. Now there are reports that the Galaxy Note 3 will have better specs but with the same old design as previous handsets.
Now it has to be said that many Android fans are not overly bothered about Samsung handsets looking similar to previous models, as long as the hardware has the features that tick all the important boxes. It is being claimed that an insider has told SamMobile that the company has changed its mind in using a flexible display for the Galaxy Note 3 as well as building the device from an aluminium frame.
Instead Samsung will be providing a handset that uses the same design as the Galaxy S4, and this is being put down to the fact that Samsung can’t produce enough units to meet the expected demand. What is expected with the new device though is a bezel that is a lot smaller than previous Note models more in keeping with the Galaxy S4.
The device is expected feature a 5.99-inch Full HD display and will have similar hardware under the hood as the S4, but there are many that would like to see a metal frame used for the device along with the likes of the HTC One and the recently announced Nokia Lumia 925.
Some users prefer the more premium feel that an aluminium frame brings to a smartphone, but this can be sometimes at the expense of a removable battery and microSD card support.
