At Phones Review we like to give readers details of useful, entertaining and just plain bizarre apps, and today we want to tell you about the rather intriguing Speech Jammer app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. This is a free app so you have nothing to lose by trying it out, and it seems to be causing quite a stir.

This is a fun idea and is a great app to use with friends, taking turns to test it out. The Speech Jammer app by Dwight Dickinson is available at the App Store and was last updated to version 1.0.1 in March. It’s very entertaining, as although it sounds simple it actually causes a lot of confusion and bewilderment for the user, a source of some amusement.

With this app you pop on headphones and turn on Speech Jammer and suddenly find that the simple art of speaking becomes rather more difficult. This is because the app delays your voice as you are talking and on top of that it adds an effect. The delay and effect combined suddenly makes taking all rather confusing.

It’s compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd, 4th and 5th generation) and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later and has been optimized for iPhone 5.
