HTC Butterfly S dual SIM version, claimed leak
The HTC Butterfly S is a notable Android smartphone that has just seen a release in some regions, with more regions to follow. We’ve been giving readers plenty of information about the Butterfly S but we hadn’t hear any mention that it may arrive as a dual-SIM version. However, a new leaked image claims to be a dual SIM Butterfly S.
The HTC Butterfly S is a successor to the Butterfly with a step up in specs, and so the idea of a dual SIM edition of the phone is bound to interest plenty of people. A leak via Twitter shows an image purporting to be the Butterfly S dual SIM version, and it also includes some specs.
The handset in the image is detailed as the HTC 9060/Butterfly S Dual SIM, boasting a 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, a 5-inch display with full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, 2GB of RAM, and an UltraPixel camera. It’s also stated that it runs Android 4.2.2, and dimensions shown are 144.5mm x 70.5mm x 10.89mm, with a weight of 159g.
All of the above specs match the same on the standard HTC Butterfly S. However, when looking at the dimensions the dual-SIM Butterfly S is shown as 10.89mm thick, whereas the standard Butterfly S is 10.6mm thick. The weight shown is only very slightly different though, at 160g rather than 159g for the standard Butterfly S.
The source of this claimed HTC Butterfly S dual SIM leak did not give any information about a possible release date or which regions the device will be available in. At present we’re not able to verify the accuracy of this leak, but we’ll be keeping our ears open for further information on this and will let you know when we find out more.
