Yesterday the Xperia Z and ZL received the new firmware update, and today Sony has released its new Sony Xperia ZR Android 4.2.2 JB update.
The Sony Xperia ZR Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update went live yesterday, at the moment no official changelog has been released. We do know that the update went live in select countries and these include Russia, Norway and Denmark, more regions will see the update over the coming weeks.
The new update has said to bring a multitude of changes such as better performance, Center app has been updated, you will notice a few visual changes once you have updated to Android 4.2.2 and those that were suffering with 3G signal will be happy to learn this has fixed that issue according to a Sony Xperia ZR user.
The update also brings to the table smoother experience, support for lock-screen widget, better touchscreen response, low-light image quality improvement, notifications bar quick toggles and many more.
We like the sound of UI magnification thanks to the DayDream screensaver option; as soon as the changelog has been released we will share this with you.
Sony should have waited and released Android 4.3, we know they will be releasing it and guess Sony Xperia users would have waited a little longer for this. We already know that Sony confirmed they are working on Android 4.3 for the Xperia Z, ZL, ZR, Xperia Ultra, SP and Xperia Tablet Z.
Would you have waited a little longer in favor of the Android 4.3 update for your Sony Xperia ZR?
