If you are looking for a new mid-ranged Android smartphone then carry on reading, because here are the details on the newly announced HTC Desire 500. This handset is set to go on sale in the UK fairly soon; as of yet no exact release date has been given.
The HTC Desire 500 specs are great considering it will be aimed at the mid-range smartphone market, it will come featuring a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 4.3-inch display with 480 x 800 pixels and 217 ppi pixel density, it will also come with the brilliant HTC Sense UI 5.0, the sound will be boosted thanks to Beats Audio sound enhancement and 1 GB RAM, plus 4 GB of internal storage with the option for more with the microSD card slot.
Other key specs include Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, microUSB v2.0, 8-megapixel camera on the rear with LED flash, autofocus and 3264 x 2448 pixels. The rear lens sensor size is at 1/3.2”, 1.4µm pixel size and comes with smile and face detection and geo-tagging; it also has a 1.6MP camera on the front.
Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS will be on board and it will be powered with the Quad-core Qualcomm Cortex-A5 MSM8225Q Snapdragon 200 CPU; it also has Adreno 203 GPU and an 1800 mAh battery.
This is a smartphone with mid-range specs and will no doubt come with a medium price tag; we will notify you when we have more details on the pricing. It will come in the Glacier Blue and Lacquer Black, those behind this phone say it will be a great model for those who love to live-stream and multitask.
Release dates have been said to happen from August 2013 with major retailers and mobile operators from UK select markets.
