Samsung ignore Galaxy S3 for Tab 2 7.0 Android 4.2 update
Owners of last year’s flagship smartphones from Samsung have been left wondering when their devices will get a new Android Jelly Bean update, but now Samsung ignore the Galaxy S3 and Note 2 in favour of the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 for the Android 4.2.2 update.
Owners of the Galaxy S3 and Note 2 look to be missing out on the Android 4.2.2 update and instead will have to wait for Android 4.3 according to carriers in Australia and Germany, which won’t be a problem if the new firmware arrives pretty soon.
In the meantime owners of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 in the UK have begun receiving the Android 4.2.2 update via an over the air update or via the Samsung KIES desktop application. The update is for the Wi-Fi version of the device and brings some welcome new features to the tablet.
These include a customizable notifications panel in the status bar, new widgets and launcher from the Galaxy S4, improved accessibility, Daydreams screensaver, multiple user accounts, and lockscreen widgets.
The firmware has the build number of P3110XXDMH1 and as with any new Android update release the software is pushed out in a staggered fashion so don’t be too alarmed if your device has yet to receive it.
Meanwhile owners of the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 are left wondering when their devices will see a new firmware update, as Android 4.1.2 first started to arrive on the devices towards the end of last year.
Are you becoming frustrated with the wait for a new Android update on the Galaxy S3 or Note 2?

Good bye Samsung
If 4.1.2 was the last update for the rest of my S3’s life, my device would still have more than I could have ever asked for!!
S3 Users are getting stiffed again as usual!
