Earlier on today we reported that Optus are now offering the Samsung Galaxy S4 and S4 mini, the good news is that those living in Australia on the Telstra network will also get a piece of the pie.
Optus first and now Telstra will supply the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini smartphone, no release dates or pricing details have been announced as of yet but at least Telstra consumers know its coming soon.
Telstra needs to get the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini price strategy correct if they want to compete with the likes of Optus, because Optus will be offering the smaller version of the Galaxy S4 on many different plans. One of these includes the $50 My Plan including handset repayment of $5 per month; in return you will get the handset with unlimited standard SMS and MMS texts, 450 minutes and 500MB of data.
If you do not want the Optus contract plan you can opt for the outright payment of $576, Telstra needs to price correctly to compete with the likes of Optus. We will bring you more details on pricing and release dates as soon as we hear more.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 mini specs recap: 4.3-inch qHD (540 x 960) resolution display, 1.5GB RAM, LTE connectivity, which will be fantastic on the Telstra 4G network. Other key features include dual-core 1.7GHz Snapdragon 400 processor, Smart Pause, 1900mAH battery, 8-megapixel camera on the rear with a 1.9-megapixel at the front, Wi-Fi, HSPA+, microSD card slot, S Voice and comes running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
