With the release of Plants vs. Zombies 2 for iPhone a little over a week and half ago it was obvious that speculation would grow as to the Android version. It is no secret that Android users were going to have to wait for its release, but we do hope that it will not be 11 months like it was with the original version.
The hope of an imminent Plants vs. Zombies 2 launch on Android is fading fast because an insightful article found on Product Reviews suggests that we should not expect the sequel on Android anytime soon. This is all because of the Far Future update, which looked at the future update for the iOS version but no mention of Android.
Following news of the Plants vs. Zombies 2 Far Future update at Gamescom, Android users then took to forums to share their anger of not being included from the get go for the second time. It is clear to see that Android users are unhappy with developer support, as they cannot understand why they would delay the release of popular apps when it is now the bigger platform because of the huge number of handsets using their preferred mobile OS.
Product Reviews says that it is evident the release of Plants vs. Zombies 2 for Android is not a great significance to PopCap, and we are sure disgruntled Android users will feel the same way.
It is a shame really because you would have assumed because the original game was seen as a success once released on Android, PopCap would have tried to push the release of the sequel out at the same time as the iOS version.
You would have assumed the developer would use Temple Run as an example. The app was released on iOS much sooner than Android, but its sequel was a different matter. Okay, so we still had to wait for Temple Run 2 a little longer for Android, but only by 8 days.
When do you think we are likely to see Plants vs. Zombies 2 for Android?
