There has been a great deal of speculation as to when Samsung will release their Galaxy Note 3, and when Sony will make the Xperia Z1 available. Up until now it has all been guesswork, but we may be able to shed some more light onto this hot topic.

If we are to believe a recent leak then the Galaxy Note 3 UK release date could be September 16, with the Sony Xperia Z1 release date being September 24 on the Three UK network. This is according to an employee of the network who then decided to leak the information to Engadget.

They have images to back this claim up, but we all know how easy it is to Photoshop something like that. While we cannot be certain if Three UK will be the first carrier to offer these two new devices, we cannot see this being the case because surely Samsung and Sony would work out a deal with the bigger players in the UK first?

Whoever gets the Galaxy Note 3 and Sony Xperia Z1 first in the UK at least this is a sign they are coming, we just hope we can take this leak as gospel.

The September 16 release date for the Galaxy Note 3 does back up those other claims, although those were just for pre-orders. Maybe the Three UK date was for when the Galaxy Note 3 pre-order goes live as well, in which case there could have been a little mix up?

As for the Sony Xperia Z1, this release date has come out of nowhere because we didn’t have much of a clue, all we knew was that the handset was going to be unveiled on September 4.
