The Meizu MX3 seems to have been a long time coming since we heard some first details about it back in March. Just a few days ago we heard some further news about the device and the possibility of a 128GB storage option. Now the Meizu MX3 has been officially announced and the massive storage option confirmed.
We were really interested to see the leak recently regarding 128GBs of internal storage for the Meizu MX3. Many of us now need a lot of storage on our devices and this prospect seemed rather appealing. We also had some initial specs on the phone but it’s good now to have all of the details officially confirmed.
There’s no doubting that the Meizu MX3 is a real flagship device for the company, and what we’ve heard about the phone should attract plenty of buyers. Not only are the specs and features appealing, but the phone will be competitively priced, more on that later.
The Meizu MX3 is powered by an Exynos 5410 Octa-core processor, with PowerVR SGX544 MP3 graphics, and has a 5.1-inch IPS display with resolution of 1800 x 1080 and 415 ppi. There’s 2GB of ARM, an 8-megapixel rear camera (rather than the 13-megapixels rumored), 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and 2400 mAh battery.
The phone launches running a modified variety of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, Flyme 3.0. Improved reception is provided with new antenna tech and the Meizu MX3 also includes a Wolfson audio chip. A WCDMA version will be available for further markets outside China.
Dimensions of the phone are 139.9mm x 71.9mm x 9.1mm and it weighs in at 143g. The Meizu MX3 is set to release around the middle of this month and pricing starts at CNY 2,499 for the 16GB model while the top-end 128GB variety costs CNY 3,999.
When we hear more about specific release dates and regional availability we’ll pass on that news. Would you like to see the Meizu MX3 release in your region?
