Nokia Lumia 1520 Bandit screenshot packs in tiles
Leaks about the upcoming Nokia phablet sometimes referred to as the Lumia Bandit are increasing. Recently it has appeared that this smartphone will have the official title of the Nokia Lumia 1520 rather than Bandit. Now a leaked image that claims to be a Lumia 1520 screenshot has appeared, showing the display packing in the Live Tiles.
We gave some initial details on the Lumia 1520 a few weeks ago, and it will have the biggest screen yet for a Lumia smartphone, at 6-inches. Further to this we heard of the name change amid news that the device is likely to have a Full HD display and could be powered by the much-admired Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor.
The Lumia 1520 will be a Windows Phone 8 handset and also looks set to launch with the GDR3 update. The leaked screenshot image shows six live tiles in a row, more than with previous WP8 devices, and this allows for half as much again of the number of apps shown on the display.
We cannot verify that this leaked image is genuinely a screenshot of the Nokia Lumia 1520 aka Bandit. Neverthless it comes from Evleaks, a very reliable source of leaked product information. The Lumia 1520 is anticipated to be revealed at an event to be held in late September in New York.
If this is indeed a screenshot of the display of the Nokia Lumia 1520, does it meet your approval? Are you a potential customer for this Nokia Lumia phablet style of smartphone? Let us know with your comments.

I stepped away from the Apple Koolaide last year and bought the Nokia Lumia 920!, What an amazing device, My production has tripled since I left my Apple toys behind… I will be acquiring the Lumia 1520 the day its released on AT&T just as I did on November 9th last year for my 920…. Keep building amazing products and you will have more and more professional business men like myself seeing the advantage of a seamless platform like Windows 8
