If you’ve been waiting to hear a release date then we have great news today, as Verizon and T-Mobile have both announced launch dates and a price for the LG G2 smartphone.
We know from comments received about our previous articles on the LG G2, that many readers are eager to get this phone when it releases. Just in the last week we’ve seen camera samples, and benchmark results, and we’ve also given readers a comparison of the LG G2 vs. Samsung Galaxy S4.
Now we have definite news at last from two of the major US carriers regarding availability, with Verizon and T-Mobile both issuing press releases. Verizon has now announced that the LG G2 will be available from September 12 with a price of $199.99 on a two-year contract.
Meanwhile T-Mobile has revealed that the LG G2 will launch online on September 18, but it won’t be available in stores until September 25. Pre-orders are already being taken for the device, and if you want to purchase the LG G2 on T-Mobile you’ll need to pay a downpayment of $99.99 with 24 monthly payments of $21 afterwards using the Simple Choice Plan.
T-Mobile also states that it will be selling both the white or black models of the LG G2 but that the white version will only be sold online. If you’re about to purchase the LG G2 on Verizon there’s now only 7 days to wait until you can get your hands on this Android smartphone, and not to much longer to wait on T-Mobile.
This is likely to be news that will make a lot of potential customers very happy indeed. While you’re waiting you may enjoy taking a look at the official introductory video to the LG G2.
