News from IFA Berlin 2013 continues to come in thick and fast and this time it’s the turn of Lenovo to make an official announcement. The company has just unveiled the Lenovo Vibe X ultra slim smartphone, to add yet something more to the mix.
We’re seeing devices from all ranges of the spectrum revealed at IFA, from top-end phones such as the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Sony Xperia Z1 (Honami), to low-end devices such as the new Alcatel OneTouch Pop handsets. Now it’s the turn of an ultra-thin device, the Vibe X.
The Lenovo Vibe X is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek 6589T quad-core processor, has a 5-inch Full HD IPS screen with something referred to as “20/20 vision display”, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal memory. There’s also a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter that features an 84-degree viewing angle, especially suitable for video conferencing.
The Vibe X has Gorilla Glass 3 protection, weighs only 120g and is just 6.9mm thick, or should we say thin. It will launch running the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system. Pricing of the Vibe X has not yet been announced, but we do know that the phone will release next month in China and will spread to more regions in December.
This looks to be yet another welcome addition to the array of devices we’re currently being treated to. We’ll bring you more news regarding availability and pricing as we hear it. Would you consider the Lenovo Vibe X smartphone?
