Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs S4, both notable
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was officially announced two days ago and is a very decent upgrade to its predecessor, the Note 2. Samsung’s other flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4, released a few months ago and both are extremely notable devices. We thought it was time to take a look at the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs S4.

The biggest difference is the size of the phones as the Galaxy Note 3 is a larger phablet device, but if you’re open minded about the size of your next smartphone purchase, then these are two Android phones you will definitely want to consider.
The Galaxy Note 3 will release in regions worldwide later this month, while in the US it will arrive at some point in October. We’ll take a look at the specs of the devices to see how they compare.
Processor
The Galaxy Note 3 is powered by either a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor or a 1.9GHz Exynos Octa-core processor. The Galaxy S4 packs a 1.9GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor or a 1.6GHz Exynos Octa-core processor. Different processor models are dependent on region.
Display
The Galaxy Note 3 has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 and 386 ppi. Meanwhile the Galaxy S4 has a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with the same resolution of 1920 x 1080 but ppi of 441.
RAM and Storage
There’s 3GB of RAM and 34 or 64GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD) for the Note 3. The Galaxy S4 has 2GB of RAM and either 16, 32 or 64GB of internal storage, also expandable via microSD.
Camera Set-up
The Note 3 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus, LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. On the Galaxy S4 you’ll find also find a 13-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Both cameras have a multitude of features including Dual Shot, simultaneous HD video and image recording, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, image stabilization, and HDR.
Battery
The Galaxy Note 3 has a 3200 mAh battery while the Galaxy S4 totes a 2600 mAh battery.
Operating System
The new Galaxy Note will launch running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. On the other hand the Galaxy S4 runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with an update to 4.3 due soon. Both are skinned with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI.
Measurements
The Note 3 has dimensions of 151.2mm x 79.2mm x 8.3mm and weighs 168g. As you would expect, the Galaxy S4 is lighter and smaller, measuring 136.6mm x 69.8mm x 7.9mm and weighing in at 130g.
These are just some of the main specs of the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 but of course there are many more specs and features that you may want to take into account. We should also point out that the Galaxy Note 3 has the S Pen stylus for extra functionality. Design-wise they are very similar except that the Galaxy Note 3 has a new faux-leather finish, which is a nice touch.

I reckon note 3 is a better choice over s4. More of business and then personal touch to it while s4 is more personal device. Just my opinion and for some s4 is what they like and for some its note 3. But its a nice upgrade from note 2. S4 is different league in most aspects.
Note 3 – its bigger, its faster and I like the s pen features 😉
