At Phones Review we appreciate our many readers in India, and today we have news of a new Karbonn smartphone. The Karbonn Smart A51 has an extremely affordable price and will release in the next few days via an online retailer.
The Smart A51 has still not been officially introduced by Karbonn but is available from Saholic with a price tag of Rs. 3,499. A delivery date at the moment is scheduled by September 26. Specs are decidedly low-end, but that’s only to be expected for the price.
The phone is a dual-SIM device and is powered by a 1GHz processor (not yet specified) and has a 3.5-inch TFT LCD display with resolution of 480 x 320. The Smart A51 also has 256MB of RAM, 512MB of internal storage (expandable via microSD to 32GB), a 3.2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and also a VGA front-facing camera.
Other inclusions are a 1100 mAh battery,Wi-Fi, GPRS, Bluetooth and micro USB, but it does not have 3G support. It runs the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and some of the apps pre-loaded on the phone are Gmail, Karbonn Live and Gtalk.
The Smart A51 comes in black or white colour options. The design of the phone actually looks perfectly okay to us, especially considering this a very low-cost handset. It will be interesting to see how this budget phone fares as far as consumer interest is concerned. You can see more about the Smart A51 or order it at Saholic here.
